Automobile tags may be purchased or renewed at the Scott County
Tax Collector’s office located in the Scott County Courthouse.
When trading in a tag for credit, out-of-state tags are worth
no value. However, if trading a Mississippi tag, credit is
issued. Call 601-469-4051
Drivers License
To obtain a Mississippi Drivers License, you must complete
a written exam. If you are a new resident to Mississippi, licenses
should be changed within 60 days. If you are already a Mississippi
resident and moving into town, a renewal is not required. However,
if a change of address is desired, a license must be renewed.
Kat's Kave located at the intersection of Hwy 80 and Hwy 35, provides renewals on Thursdays, from 8:30 to 4:30 with no applications processed after 4:00.
